For more than 22 years, Cameron worked as a police officer, sergeant, and union representative. He watched first responders suffer harm personally, financially, and professionally for doing their jobs and “standing in the gap.”
After retiring, he attended the University of Utah College of Law where he volunteered with Wills for Heroes and the pro bono Street Law Legal Clinic to provide free legal services to those in need. Since then, he has successfully represented hundreds of first responders and other employees to protect their rights and employment.
Makenzie is currently in her third year of law school at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. During her time in law school she has served on the St. Mary’s Law Journal as a staff writer and a board member.
Throughout her legal studies, she has developed a strong passion for advocating on behalf of clients who have been wronged by their employers, striving to ensure their rights are protected. Additionally, she is deeply committed to supporting veterans and providing legal assistance to those who served our country. Makenzie says: “my goal is to use my legal education and experience to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others, particularly those who need guidance and support in navigating complex legal challenges.”
